Albion Cottage on the River Bure

Albion Cottage is a 2-bedroom (sleeps 4) self-catering cottage sitting in the centre of the Peninsula Cottage Estate in the heart of Wroxham, capital of the Norfolk Broads right on the bank of the River Bure with its own mooring, and shared landscaped gardens with 100m of river fishing within and around the Peninsula marina.


With it's own private parking space (up to 3 cars by arrangement) within a secure car-park, you can just park up for your stay as everything you need is within a 5-10 minute walk.


With it's own private 45ft mooring right outside your door you can bring your own boat or hire a day boat or fishing boat and keep it right outside your cottage.

Come in and have a look around the cottage.


Start by parking in your own private space within a secure barrier controlled car park (additional parking available).  Walk a few steps on a level surface to your front door, and marvel at your first river views. Relax in your open-plan kitchen , dining and living room with  river views from 2 aspects and French doors opening onto your private terrace patio with  bistro table / chairs stepping down into your own private picnic table and bar-b-q stand by your own private mooring.  Enjoy the extensive shared landscaped gardens, perfect for taking the dog for a walk, and with 100m of river front fishing and from all around the marina..


At the end of of a relaxing or exciting day sit back with your 32" Freeview TV / DVD and then retire upstairs and  continue watching TV / DVD in your double bedroom, or twin bedroom with 2 full size beds. New shower room, with walk- in shower cubicle, pedestal wash basin and w.c.

Wroxham - within walking

Once you've settled in you will no doubt want to explore your local area.  It's just a 5-10 minute walk across the iconic Wroxham Bridge, to the centre of the Capital of the Norfolk Broads.  Visit Roy's supermarket for all your self-catering needs and enjoy all the riverside restaurants, pubs and take-aways, yes, even including a McDonalds.  Hire a day boat or take a one or two hour sight-seeing ferry tour.  Just a few minutes further walk takes you to the Bure Valley Steam Railway with an 8-mile nostalgic trip to Aylesham.  Two angling shops provide all your fishing needs. For the more adventurous hire a canoe, kayak, paddle board or take one of the many guided trips.  For additional ideas on fishing and boating see below.

Fishing and Boating

Albion Cottage provides a perfect refuge just to sit back and enjoy the river activity or as a base to explore Norfolk and the Norfolk coastline. However it is in the perfect place for both fishing and boating.  With 100m of river bank for fishing just outside your door, and your own private mooring for your own boat, or hired day boat or fishing boat (available from £40/day locally), enjoy both fishing and boating.  For more leisurely river sightseeing, ferry tours operate just a 5-minute walk from the cottage with full commentary.  For the more active, canoes, kayaks, and paddle boarding is available for hire locally for your own, or guided, adventure.

Whether you're after a relaxing stay away with fantastic views without going out or you want  a base for exciting adventure, sailing, canoeing, paddle boarding or just  fishing, Albion Cottage is your ideal choice.
